The Rule of Benedict January 1
Our first priority is to develop the capacity to listen with the ears of our hearts. Our second is to learn obedience. This capacity is developed and obedience is learned through prayer. Barriers between us and a daily prayer practice must be overcome. Helping us to overcome such barriers is what I envision to be the work of the Novice Master of the Divine Office.
